PAYMENT POLICIES
We have a very fair policy regarding our payment for tuition. Payments are due on the first class of each month. There is no late fee assessed until after the 10th of the month. Payments may be made at the office by cash or check. Please make checks payable to Triple Essence Dance Studio. Please write your childs full name on the memo line of your check. If you make a payment late, please include your late fee to avoid being billed. No credit is given for student absences. If you change your class, add/drop a class or have any questions concerning your monthly tuition, please inform our studio secretary.
COSTUME/RECITAL PAYMENT
A costume deposit for each class is due in November and a recital fee (per student) is due is February. The recital fee helps to cover the cost of production, rehearsals & insuring our show.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES
Cancellation of class services must be received in writing or you will be charged up to that point. Telephone cancellations will not be considered valid.
DRESS CODE
Triple Essence uniforms & proper footwear are required for all students & may be purchased at our studio for your convenience.
DANCE ETIQUETTE & BEHAVIOR
Dance class is educational and fun, however, an important part of class work is developing an attitude of discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students. We trust that following our classroom etiquette will provide an environment whereby classes at Triple Essence Dance Studio will be a pleasure for all concerned. If any problems occur, parents will be contacted & a solution will be discussed. NOTE: No food, drinks, candy or gum will be permitted in the dance area.
CLASS PLACEMENT & LEVELS
Students are under steady observation by their teachers. Students are not moved to the next level according to the amount of years that they have studied dance. They must be able to execute proper technique to the fullest for that level. Once the teacher has determined that the student is ready to move up, the director will then move the student to a higher level. Please be advised that class placement is at the discretion of the teacher/director. Some students may take longer to progress than others, according to natural ability, effort, and practice.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Our studio will follow the New York City public school cancellation policy. In the event of bad weather conditions, kindly call the studio before your class for cancellation recordings. (718) 439-8557
DISCOUNT SPECIAL
For families with more than one student, we offer a 10% discount for each additional child or parent. This applies for immediate family only.
SCHOLARSHIP
Students enrolled in classes are under steady observation by their teachers all year. A special scholarship will be awarded on the night of our recital to a student who has shown particular interest, enthusiasm & dedication during their year of dance training. Their commitment together with good attendance has enhanced their education & overall performance. Scholarship winners will receive free tuition for one dance class the following year in addition to performing a solo in our year-end recital. Every year a new student is awarded.
